www.f4wonline.com and
The Wrestling Observer Reports:

-Rasslinriotonline.com has reported that Bobby Eaton, 51, was hospitalized in Arkansas with fluid around his heart. Eaton, half of the Midnight Express tag team in the 80s, a Hall of Fame duo and one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history, has had heart issues in the past.

-Brian Gewirtz and Ed Koskey of the WWE writing team will be speaking on 7/22 at the San Diego Comic Con at 11:30 a.m. with Mattel and WWE doing a presentation about how WWE's exciting storylines lead to Mattel's action figures, as well as announcements for 2011 merchandise. The Miz and Eve Torres will also be there along with Mattel toy designers Bill Miekina and Derek Handy and Florence DiGiorgrio, the WWE VP of global licensing.

-Hulk Hogan's nephew David Bollea of Las Vegas remained unbeaten in MMA beating Cody Gibson with an armbar in 31 seconds on last Fridaynight's Palace Fights show in Lemoore, CA. War Machine failed to make weight, and ended up losing in the third round by John Alessio in what is Machine's last match before heading to jail for one year on a probation violation charge related to two bar fights in San Diego

-Acid-Fest from last Saturday at the Arena in Philadelphia drew 750 fans to honor Michael "Trent Acid" Verdi, including his family members and neighborhood friends. They announced his being inducted into the ECW Arena Hardcore Hall of Fame during the opening ceremonies, done by D.J. Hyde. Helter Skelter (managed by Missy Hyatt) won Memorial Rumble over a ton of guys, Nick Berk & Z-Barr b Don Montoya & Robbie Mireno, Missy Sampson & Annie Social & Amy Lee Murrray (Acid's Angels) b Alere Little Feather & Roxie Cotton & Detox, SATs over Carnage Crew, H8 Club and Hit Squad, Homicide & B-Boy b Sonjay Dutt & Ruckus, Johnny Kashmere b Devon Moore. When the show was over, they had raised $7,500 for funeral expenses. John Cena donated a spinner watch to raise money as well. Was told they put on a really great show.

-Former wrestling manager/promoter Johnny Legend has copies of "Alias the Champ," the movie from about 60 years ago starring Gorgeous George available on Ebay. He's also selling DVDs of his promotion and has an original 45 of the "Pencil Neck Geek" song by Fred Blassie at johnnylegendrocks@gmail.com

-Stacy Cornette wrote an update on Bobby Eaton, saying that he'll be hospitalized for a few more days as he's under observation and they are running more tests. He was hospitalized for fluid around his heart and lungs, but is on medication and starting to feel better.

-Lucha Libre USA on MTV 2

Lucha Libre USA debuts tonight on MTV2 with Aaron Aguilera!

-Jim Ross on being removed from the new WWE open: While @ gym got messages my voice was removed from Raw show open. If it matters, that's news 2 me. Been nice 2 have been informed. Oh, well

-Dr. Wagner , the AAA champion, showed up at a CMLL house show last week with the AAA belt. Aside from tweeting shock and pretty much giving away the finish of the next CMLL mask match (Histeria losing unless it gets changed), AAA has been quiet on the situation and has avoided any sort of burial of Wagner. Wagner, who was working without a contract, did an interview saying he was still on good terms with AAA despite AAA not knowing it was going to happen in advance. A key to the story may be that it happened at a CMLL house show in Nuevo Loredo as opposed to at one of the main arenas, Arena Mexico or Arena Coliseo in Mexico City. There is less a sense of finality with it happening there, in the sense that you'd think if CMLL signed him to a deal and had raided him his debut would have been at a TV taping. Still, he had to fly to Nuevo Loredo and it wasn't like he was just in the area and decided to show up to send a message to AAA.

-Raw Rating: 3.3

-Aaron "Idol" Stevens has signed a new WWE developmental deal. He was in the system for years, had a brief run on Smackdown, and was cut and has spent the past two years for the WWC.

-Florida based wrestler (Chasyn Rance) was arrested for having sex with a 15 year old girl. He was on an episode of Tool Academy and wrestled some shows out here for PWG and NWA Pro four years ago

-A movie called "Machete" has a Luchador play a masked assassin (not Jody Hamilton) in a movie at

-When TNA President Dixie Carter stated on her official Twitter page on July 8 that "if you guys only knew who I met with today", she actually met with Paul Heyman and believed a deal was imminent. Most people internally knew both parties were talking and felt it was only a matter of time when Heyman would arrive. However, Heyman stated publicly he wasn't going to be at the Victory Road PPV and as of now it isn't believed he will be at next month's Hard Justice PPV either.

The two biggest obstacles in TNA's way of signing Heyman is what he wants and what they seemingly don't want to give him. Heyman clearly wants more power and doesn't want to settle as just a booker. He has made it clear that he doesn't believe a booking change will turn TNA around and has no interest in being part of a failure. He turned down offers from short-lived MMA promotions like IFL and Yamma and could easily gain a consulting job with WWE if he wanted to stay involved in wrestling.

Based on what is known, if Heyman commits to TNA he wants to bring in his own crew (including both wrestlers and front office) and TNA has no interest in doing that with the recent talks.
